What Is a Floor Vase?
A floor vase is a large decorative vessel typically 18 inches or taller, designed to stand on the floor rather than on a table or shelf. Floor vases anchor empty corners, flank entryways, and provide vertical drama in living rooms, foyers, and commercial lobbies, often styled with tall dried botanicals like pampas grass or left empty as sculptural accents.
What You Get With the SUNPAN Saskia Vase
- Amphora-Inspired Silhouette -- ancient vessel form translated into a modern decorative vase that commands attention in entryways and beside fireplaces.
- Durable Sealed Concrete -- sealed glass fibre reinforced concrete resists chips and holds up in both residential and contract-grade commercial settings.
- Coarse Texture -- weathered-relic surface adds tactile depth and visual interest without the weight or fragility of natural stone.
- Substantial Footprint -- 24.75-inch width and 55-pound weight keep the vase stable in high-traffic areas.
- No Assembly Required -- arrives ready to place and style.
- Handcrafted Variations -- each piece exhibits unique color shifts, surface texture, and non-structural hairline cracks inherent to concrete craftsmanship.
How Do You Style a Large Floor Vase in a Modern Living Room?
Position the Saskia Vase beside a sofa or in a corner flanked by low-profile accessories and home decor, and pair it with sculptural decorative objects on nearby console tables to echo its organic form. For a layered look, group it with smaller vases and jars on a media console or bookshelf, letting the concrete texture contrast with smooth ceramics or glass.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What size floor vase do I need for pampas grass?
- A floor vase 24 inches tall or higher accommodates the stem length and plume height of pampas grass; the Saskia Vase at 28 inches provides ample drama for large dried arrangements.
- How tall should a floor vase be for a living room?
- Floor vases work best between 20 and 36 inches tall, balancing presence with furniture scale; the Saskia Vase at 28 inches anchors a corner without towering over seating.
- What goes in a large floor vase besides flowers?
- Fill a large floor vase with tall dried grasses, curly willow branches, or sculptural stems, or leave it empty to showcase its form as a standalone decorative object.
- How do you style decorative vases on a mantel?
- Arrange vases in varying heights along a mantel, mixing shapes and textures; for floor placement, the Saskia Vase anchors a hearth corner while smaller vases populate the mantel itself.
- Does the Saskia Vase ship fully assembled?
- Yes, the vase arrives ready to use with no assembly required, and LOOMLAN provides free curbside delivery to the contiguous USA.
- Can I use this vase to hold fresh flowers?
- The Saskia Vase is intended for decorative use only and is not designed to hold water; style it with dried botanicals or as a sculptural accent.
